We have already seen Nokia discontinuing their Ovi home page which now redirects users to Nokia Maps homepage. Here's one more by Nokia. They are going to discontinue Ovi contacts website as of 24th jan 2012. This won't affect contacts on your Nokia phone but after the date you won't be able to log on to Nokia Contacts site. You would be able to back up and sync data to your Nokia normally. 


So you have 6 weeks in your hands,get your online contacts data synced to your personal pc as soon as it is possible.


Here are some steps that might help you: 

• Visit contactsui.ovi.com from your personal computer.
• Login to your Ovi account.
• Click the green button below the message text.
• Save the file to your local drive (take a note of the folder you put it in).
• Click on the file to review and access your data file.
• Your contact data is in .csv format.
• Once you have selected an alternate contact service, follow their import instructions.
• When you asked to select a file for import, select to your Ovi Contact data file.
